There’s something special about the memories that stay with you long after the day is over.
This artwork was inspired by a solo camping trip along the Ningaloo Coast. I was gearing up for a dive to chase crays when a small school of squid drifted into view, their colours flashing and changing beneath the surface. Before long, the plan for the day had changed completely. I ended up catching squid instead, creating one of those simple, unexpected moments that become a favourite memory.
Painted in soft ocean blues, purples and shimmering details, this piece celebrates the beauty and curiosity of these incredible creatures. Squid are often overlooked, but up close they are some of the most vibrant and fascinating animals in the ocean.
